Can You Really Be Free From Food Chatter?
Welcome back to Mindful Weighs Wednesday! Have you ever found yourself cleaning the bathroom, going downstairs for a new roll of paper towels, and ended up folding laundry before you finished cleaning the toilet? You know what I mean - you start something and get easily sidetracked, ending up at a new task, and forgetting what you even started doing! It’s fascinating how the mind works some days. I find if I don’t have a plan, and make myself a list, I can get easily sidetracked and off focus. The same concept applies to food protocols and weight loss.
In my program we develop an individual protocol for each person. Hormones play the most important role in this weight loss program so making a plan, tracking and analyzing is key. A protocol is a food plan created based on reducing the individuals insulin. We consider meals, food, frequency of eating, and quantities. The protocol is developed with to benefit the individual physically, with the main source of fuel food being body fat. The plan is created and you must have your own back in order to follow. This allows your brain to remain focused on accomplishing your goal.
If you are looking to lose weight, developing a plan in advance will help you stay on track. You want to consider eating window, how many meals, what foods are allowed, how much to eat, and consider joy eats and exceptions. Write it all down and be as specific as possible. For some this may seem tedious and appear to take away “freedom”. I want to offer a different thought - once you start doing this you will have so much time to use your mind on new ways you can create your amazing life. You will not have to deal with the negative chatter leading up to a meal on what you think you are craving, what you should have, what you shouldn’t have, and then all the same after you eat, beating yourself up over and over. No drama - just plan 24 hours in advance and then stick to the plan.
You will be amazed at what you can accomplish, and how your life can change, when you stop allowing all the chatter time around food. In this program we talk about math, and drama. The math is the numbers - how much are you eating, and what do you weigh. The drama is everything else - and that my friends is where the work is done. We want to deal with the drama and moving towards a life you create on purpose, where the dessert fork is not the most important thing in your day. Imagine all you could do once you free up your mind to make your dreams come true!
Each week I offer 2 free mini sessions, first come first serve when you sign up here, to anyone wishing to learn more about coaching, and to discuss how my program may help you feel more in control of your life. Once you sign up you will receive a call in number and appointment reminder. Some may not be a fit, and that is fine - I consider it a privilege to offer free help in advance. Have an amazing day!
