Clean This One Thing to Weigh & Drink Less

Hello to the weekend!  It’s rainy here today so it will be a good morning to stay inside and get some cleaning done.  You know - the really good cleaning where you move furniture around and really get all the dust bunnies out.  As I was making my plan it dawned on me to share an amazing cleaning tool which will help you as you work to drink less, and weigh less.

Mental health is so important yet how often do you take the time to clean out your brain?  Often times we don’t even realize that thoughts are causing us pain because we have just believed them for so long.  Perhaps you are struggling with embracing your new body, or sticking to a plan of only 2 drinks a night.  If you find yourself in this situation I encourage you to turn on the lights in your brain.  Take some time to clean out the corners, and really clean up your thinking.  The process can take as little as 15 minutes and if you start each day with a sprucing up you will see amazing results in accomplishing your goals.

The way you clean out your brain is by setting aside time to sit down and write every thought you are having on a piece of paper - dump of it all.  Don’t try to keep it to just the happy thoughts - really write down everything that comes to mind - the good, the bad, and the ugly.  Now - become the observer of all those thoughts.  These thoughts don’t define you, and once you get them out on paper look at them with fascination and compassion.  Next, take a look at the ones that are not helpful - decide if you really want to put them back in the brain, or toss them like the kitchen garbage.  All thoughts are optional, and you don’t have to keep the ones that aren’t serving you - isn’t that fantastic news?

You know how you sometimes find things stuck in your couch and you are like “wow - where did that come from?” - well you may find the same as you write all your thoughts down.  Sometimes we don’t even realize we are thinking a thought until we see it and then its like - WOW - I was thinking that?  No wonder I keep over drinking, or over eating.  The insights you gain from this cleaning out will take your work to the next level.  My friends, it is all a process of finding ways to live more, and feel better.  When you adapt a cleaning routine for your brain you will be amazed at how many dreams you can truly make come true!
