Hello 2018!

Welcome 2018! The excitement of a New Year, and the start of resolutions and big goals. This year will be the year you commit to, and keep your promises to yourself. I know this because you are starting to do the work of brain management and becoming more in charge of directing your thoughts to the life you want to live.
If you continue to take responsibility for your emotions and direct your brain you are going to have an amazing year. Stop living an unconscious life that happens to you. If you stop trying to avoid pain and discomfort with things like over eating, over drinking, over Facebooking, over porning, or over working, and start living on purpose, you will blow your own mind.
One way to become more aware of your brain is to do a daily thought download. This is where you just take 10 minutes of your day and write down all of your thoughts. Don’t be judgmental of these thoughts, just take the time to clean out your brain and become the observer of your mind. It is often fascinating to notice what you are thinking vs what you believe to be factual. Remember - we think an average 60,000 thoughts a day, so the true facts are usually minimal, and the thoughts tend to be super abundant.
Next, take one of the thoughts and look at how it makes you feel. Any of the thoughts will do - there is no right or wrong answer. Consider the actions you take when you feel that way thinking that thought, and notice the results your get in that instance. Your results will always prove your thought true. Now - what do you want to think on purpose? It doesn’t have to go to rainbows and butterflies, a simple shift in the thought will often provide a different feeling, which will lead to new actions, and new results - and BAM - you are on your way to something different.
If you take the time to do this activity daily I promise you will notice a change. Think about how funky your teeth would get if you didn’t clean them daily - now imagine your brain when you don’t take the time to clean it out. Start a new daily habit of cleaning the crazy out, and begin to program new thoughts to get you to your goal in 2018!
