The Three Top Dream Stealers

When you think of indulging what comes to mind?  I imagine something like a warm chocolate chip cookie with smooth vanilla ice cream and hot fudge, or a spa day with massage, mani and pedi, and a fabulous bottle of wine on a special occasion.  These all seem lovely, but today I want to look three other things we all tend to indulge in sometimes don’t even recognize it  - worry, confusion and overwhelm.

An indulgent emotion is on that seems comfortable but does not fuel the actions necessary to obtain a desired result.  It often presents when one is not experience traction, growth or movement.  These feelings pretend to be necessary.  Often people will come to me and think the feelings aren’t optional, and are just the effect of their life circumstance.  These feelings serve no purpose, and are actually the biggest dream stealers around.  You are indulging when you tell yourself you have too much to do, your confused on where to start, or you fret about it not being perfect.  Spinning in these accomplishes nothing.

Think about how often you feel one of these feelings.  Pick one and think of an example of when and why you feel it.  Do you think you could go a day a week or a month without it?  Now really take the time to think if their is any reason you would want to keep it, and what it might cost you if you do.  The best way to not be confused is to make a decision and stick to it.  It may not be perfect, and that's ok because not perfect is better than not at all.  Do one thing  at a time in the direction of accomplishing your goals and you will begin to create the amazing life you dream of.
