Changing the Habit Of Wine Time
How often do you feel out of control in life? For example, I used to think I had no control over my time. It felt SO factual because with my job I don’t know my schedule until the day before, sometimes I’m in and OR so cases start late, or sometimes they run late. For years I would come home after a long day and want a glass of wine to just relax and take the edge off of feeling out of control. But then I would sometimes wake up with the negative chatter of how I shouldn’t have had that last glass of wine. This negative thinking added to feeling out of being out of control, and so the cycle continued.
And then one day I decided to try these tools. At the time I didn’t even know if I wanted to try them, but I knew I wanted to see if there was something different. Honestly, I didn't know if I wanted to try them, because I wasn't sure if I entirely wanted to drink less, but I did want to do more. I kept saying there has to be more to life, and since then I've taken the tools to now I create that more. The tools I share I are the ones I used - and continue to use. It really comes down to a new way of learning, re-wiring the brain from the old habit, and creating new ways of thinking. It's work, but doing it is so worth it.
I also continue to get coached because it is so easy for us to be all up in our head, which sometimes doesn't serve our purpose to create the life we imagine. It takes an objective person to be able to show us what we think, and really help us to understand what we think does not make us who we are. There is a difference. Once you see how you can change your drinking you begin to think of what else you can do - what else you can create. My coach helps me to see the more that is still possible.
