This Is The Spy That Can Help You Stop Over Drinking

I was playing a game of "I Spy" with one of our nieces this weekend and it had me thinking how often I now find myself "spying" on my brain.  When I first started using these tools it was because I wanted to lose those last couple lbs.  In fact, I stayed away from the Over Drinking program because I didn't really think I had "a problem".  But, what I did think, was there were days I wanted to stop feeling like I shouldn't have had the extra glass, and I wanted to feel more in control, at peace and productive, so I decided to give it a whirl.

What I found was, the tools to stop over eating were very similar to stop over drinking.  I write two blogs a week - one for weighing less and one for drinking less, and both for living more!  The biggest commonality between the two is this game of "I Spy"- but on your brain.

What I want to offer is that you start paying attention to the thoughts you have about your drinking.  Do you sometimes spy thoughts like "screw it, its been a long day", or "it will be a fun time", or "give me a drink I need to relax".  Notice - they are all thoughts for your brain to give you permission to give in to desire, and drink.  You saunter to the wine rack, pick a lovely glass, and pour, swirl, and sip.  (Well, that may seem a little fancy - I just went to my kitchen and grabbed a glass 😂. )

Let's face it - you are in control, the wine doesn't just pour itself and leap into your mouth.  ðŸ˜‰

When you spy these thoughts take a pause.  Decide if you really want to keep thinking like this.  You see, the hard part is not the actual act of stopping over drinking - you just don't pour it.  The challenge is everything that comes up when you don't drink.  That my friend is where the work it.  Being able to learn new tools to deal with stress, deal with anxiety, and know that you are for sure going to be ok.

The gals I work with don't necessarily want to quit drinking all together, but they do want to feel better.  Honestly, it is about so much more.  I recently had a client send me an email after the program ended saying, in part, she had "...big and meaningful changes that yielded such positive results."  It was all the work she did from learning the tools.  I am so proud of the women who commit to having their own back and actually do the work.  She is in control of her life.  I spy - you can be too.

If you spy and ideas that resonate with you here and want to learn more sign up for a free mini session.  It is a way to uncover what may be going on, get some free coaching and learn more about my program - no obligation.

I also want to offer this free download - learn the top 3 tools to stop over drinking tonight.
